Remember that time I posted about Monet's Waterlilies? Yeah here it is in person!

I'm in a relationship with Chipotle.
Uniqlo!

Some of my favorite picks from Uniqlo!
Today I went to the MoMA again on a class trip! It's one of my favorite museums and I love going to the city for any reason. We wandered through the museum and then we went to Chipotle for lunch so I could satisfy my massive avocado craving. We walked up Fifth Ave for a bit and my friend was interviewed for Fox News!

We also stopped into Uniqlo, which I am now in love with. The clothes are vastly minimalist a la American Apparel, but they have a greater air of chicness about them. Everything was very crisp and classic, which makes for a versatile closet with loads of mixing and matching. I will definitely be stopping back in there soon.

I always like dressing up when I go to the city, but I don't like my outfits to be too fussy. It was a bit chilly so I wore a woolly H&M cardigan over my blue v-neck sweater. My daisy shorts added a splash of print and my mustard jacked tied in the yellow in my shorts. I wore ankle boots so I wouldn't have to hassle walking around all day in heels.

After hearing from my colleges, I'm pretty sure that I will be attending Barnard College in New York City next year and I am so excited!

It was not your fault but mine.

The weather's warmed up a bit but my mood hasn't been too great, so I decided to help it out with a splash of color. I got this skirt years ago but I love it because it reminds me of a more saturated Monet painting. I wore my knitted top and my chunky thrift store sweater because I was freezing when I woke up. My necklace was a nice addition to complement the gold specks in my sweater.

I can't seem to shake off this cold I have. At least I've been forcing myself to eat healthier. The thought of spring and summer make me look forward to tons of fresh produce. Once I feel a little better I'm going to start exercising more regularly. Maybe I'll even start taking some yoga or pilates classes!

I've got nothing else left to say.

Yoko -Pegasus Bridge
Shirt: Lily White
Skirt: Forever 21
Shoes: Me Too

Well the weather was nice while it lasted. It seems like I'm back to wearing my usual black tights so my legs don't freeze. I got this shirt when I was in the seventh grade, but it's always nice to rework things in your wardrobe. I thought this was simple yet classy enough for a Monday.

On Saturday I watched Bells are Ringing (1960) and I absolutely loved it. The early 60's silhouettes are my favorite. I plan to start watching Mad Men when I get a chance for the same reason. A year long project I'm doing for school is about women's fashions in the twentieth century and their relationship to societal attitudes towards women, so I love studying different time frames of fashion. I'll talk more about my project some other time! It seems like school is going to drag on until spring break next week. Hopefully the weather lightens up!

I'm the king of New York!

Yesterday I saw Newsies on Broadway and it was the best show I have ever seen. The dancing was absolutely phenomenal and the singing was absolutely perfect. I sat in disbelief pretty much throughout the whole thing. You could definitely tell that all of the boys had extensive ballet training and there was even a tap number. And they could sing perfectly while doing really difficult dance moves. I was just completely blown away and I want to see it again. I was freaking out a bit because Alex Wong was in it, and I wanted him to win So You Think You Can Dance so badly before he got injured. The show as a whole was just so inspiring. I've never seen such good dancing or singing before. So today's outfit is obviously inspired by Newsies.
This is one of the numbers that the cast performed on The View. It's amazing, but the show is even better.

If you want to see pure talent, get yourself to Broadway and go see Newsies. It's worth it. I feel like I need to start stretching and practicing my dancing more because of that show. It was spectacular.

Shoutout to Tyler for reading my blog!

It's the last day of winter and I couldn't ask for better weather. It's been beautiful here lately, but so much so that I often forget that I'm in New Jersey as I daydream about palm trees and light blue water. I've always been an east coast city girl, but lately I feel a need for a change in setting. At least for now I can reflect my new beachy sentiments in more colorful and breezy clothes.
