revlon lip butters

revlon lip butter in raspberry pie
I know that Revlon lip butters are certainly no new thing in the blogosphere, but I thought I might add in my own two cents since I don't have an outfit post today.

I bought my first Revlon lip butter at the end of the summer in the color Peach Parfait and it's a really nice shimmery peachy color. The color is sort of like the perfect medium between a nude lip and a coral lip, with a gold tinged shimmer to it. I'll often wear it when I'm going for a more natural look because the color isn't too intense.

I next bought a lip butter in Raspberry Pie in December as it was one of the new winter colors, and it has slowly become my most worn lip color. The color is so pigmented which really shocked me for a "butter" product. The only thing I have to be sure of it that I apply it correctly so it doesn't get smudged. I usually just swipe it on but it also goes on very nicely with a brush.

I really like these lip butters and I think they are very good quality products for the price. The packaging is very cute as well. I would recommend them for a cheap but nice and reliable lip product as my Raspberry Pie has certainly been very loyal to me!

I'm very happy with my photos today because my roommate took them outside! Hooray for no dorm photos! I really want to get decent photos more often.

This dress is from the Prabal Gurung for Target collection and I love it. It was the first thing I picked out from the collection because I think I will get a lot of wear from it. The red is classic but the cut is something different. It's not quite a-line but it's not quite high waisted. For warmth and for some added structure I tossed on my moto jacket and added a chunky infinity scarf. I also want to make an effort to wear hats more often. I always think bangs with hats look amazing.

Today I got a tour of Gotham magazine, which was really cool. Living in the city really just offers so many opportunities.

I'm pack from my unplanned hiatus! This week is insane with all the work that's been accumulating, as will this weekend and next week, so I will probably not be posting on a daily basis.

This was a quickly put together outfit. I got this dress because I really love the shoulders. I thought they were something different. The studs add a nice touch.

I also got these shoes in the mail from ASOS today! I'm so in love with Alexander Wang's Liya shoes, but of course $500 shoes are not really in my budget. These should from ASOS seemed like a great pick for the price. They get the job done quite nicely.

one. These posts used to be once a week and now it seems like they're once a month. Ah well I guess I've been super busy lately. These next two weeks are swamped in work and then I'm going home for the weekend to see the show at my high school and SHOP.

two. Today I was offered the position of Arts and Entertainment editor for my school's monthly magazine, The Barnard Bulletin. So that's very exciting.

three. I'm getting very into beauty products lately. I just ordered a bunch of stuff from drugstore.com, mostly nail things, so I'll probably get some product reviews in when I get a chance. I also ordered some shoes off ASOS. I should cut back on the online shopping the rest of the month.

four. I'm thinking I might do a dorm tour post. I did a tour in my latest Seventeen video (link above) but I think I'd like to have it in blog form as well. Let me know what you think!

Happy Sunday everyone!
